PF06/17 APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE
Apologies were received and accepted from Cllr Deborah Chamberlain.
PF07/17 DECLARATION OF INTEREST
There were no declarations of interest stated.
PF08/17 MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
The minutes of the previous meeting held on 23rd October 2017 were approved.
PF09/17 NEW POST
Members considered and approved job description and person specification for the new Council post “Projects Officer”. The JD and PS will now be presented to Full Council (March).
PF10/17 HOME WORKING
Members went through a draft home working policy and home working self-assessment, developed by Cllr Chamberlain. The Home working policy was approved subject to some minor amendments to the wording to paragraph 3 under ‘Other Important Practicalities’, regarding employee’s home insurance. The sections of the Homeworking Self-assessment were explored in terms of whether the Parish Council would be obliged to provide equipment and whether the employee and or a representative of the employer are required to complete the assessment. The Clerk was asked to seek clarification from Cllr Chamberlain.
Post meeting note: Cllr Chamberlain confirmed the following:
The whole point of the self-assessment questionnaire is that the employee does it themselves. The employer would normally only do the assessment if the employee is working permanently at home.
Once the questionnaire is completed and returned to the employer for review, any issues will be highlighted and can be discussed as to importance, relevance related to time spent at home etc. Generally, because it is an employee request to work for some time at home as a concession, it would not be the employer's responsibility to purchase equipment for home use such as a chair. The employer responsibility is the main place of work.
PF11/17 LEASE NEGOTIATIONS (PLAYING FIELDS & ADDITIOANL FIELD) – CLOSED ITEM EXCLUSION OF PRESS AND PUBLIC.
Members RESOLVED to exclude the press and public from the meeting for this item of business as it was likely to disclose personal information relating to staff, as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972. Members received an update on recent correspondence and agreed a way forward.
There being no further business the meeting closed at 9.45pm.
